Army organises quiz competition

Srinagar, Aug 31: The army  organised an Inter School Quiz competition at Kigam in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. A Defence spokesman said that the aim of the quiz competition was to provide students with an opportunity to learn with fun and to instill a sense of competitiveness amongst them while enhancing their knowledge and current affairs.    “Nineteen schools from Kigam and Magam areas participated in the competition. Each team boasted of four bright sparks of the respective school. The final was conducted at Higher Secondary School Nagri which comprised of 5 very interesting rounds including a buzzer round, life line round and an array of mind boggling questions demanding the best out of the shortlisted students.The students of Public High School Gushi were successful in keeping their nerves and emerged as the winners of the hard fought competition,” he said. Brigadier Rajeev Puri, Commander, of Kigam Garrison felicitated the students.
